Spencer Betts

Spence holds several bands close to his heart, and day by day manages to express his enthusiasm for a particular one at random using embarrassingly unstructured sentences. Yesterday it was The Smiths; today it is Belle and Sebastian.

He has traits in his character that are similar to those of fictional hotel manager Basil Fawlty, which he finds mildly worrying considering he is only in his mid-twenties. He spends much of his time fondly reciting scenes from This Is Spinal Tap, and writing things down before he drinks too much whisky and forgets them.
