Katherine Rodgers

Katherine Rodgers is a secondary school student from the arse-end of Ireland.
She is supposedly 16, but her predilection for crocheting and cats, and her seeming allergy to any style of music which has ever wondered into the vast, bleak terrain of the Top 10 charts seems to suggest otherwise.
She also makes the best brownies in Northern Ireland (this has yet to be proven, but she still stands staunchly by this claim). She takes music far too seriously, and attributes her life-long devotion to music to a singular moment when, one boring summer aged 11, she discovered ‘You Forgot It In People’ by Broken Social Scene – lo and behold, an indie rock snob was born.
Her main ambition in life is to become some kind of music hack, so is feverishly trying to gain some experience so she can move out of the arse-end of Ireland and into London, where she will obviously immediately become surrounded by various indie-rock elitists, and can achieve her life’s goal of giving Stephen Malkmus a deeply-inappropriate hug.
She likes Joanna Newsom, harps, medieval literature, cats and Jonathan Safran Foer. She dislikes having to count or use logic in any way, eating meat and writing about herself in the third person (although she persists in doing so).
She can be found merrily blogging and tweeting at http://themusicboxblog.wordpress.com/ and at twitter.com/sayhikatherine.
