Headlining this year will be the multi-sense experience of the Gorillaz Sounds System (DVJ), featuring the music of Gorillaz mixed and remixed with a full visual display, sanctioned by none other than Murdoc Niccols himself. Roland, the official VJ, controls the visual synchs and content along with DJ Kofi, visual and aural mix master extraordinaire! GSS percussionist Remi adds another layer to the DJ performance with a variety of live instruments, while Pauli bangs the drums, no mean feat. With extra “treats” promised, it’s sure to be a truly unique experience.

Saturday’s line-up is also starting to take shape with the news that Sheffield’s finest experimental rock outfit 65daysofstatic will be bringing their mind-bending post-rock to 2000trees in what will no doubt be a mesmerizing performance.

After a break and a tour, Alessi Laurent-Marke and her faithful band are to return with an EP on 5th April, after their recent signing to the Bella Union label, to be entitled ‘Soul Proprieto

Initially released on Portishead’s Geoff Barrow’s Invada label (under the band’s old name Malakai) last year, the 13 track album will be preceded by the band’s debut radio single for Double Six ‘Snowflake’, which is set for release a week earlier on 12 April.
