Introducing // Saturday Sun // Seagull EP

It’s a New Year and time for some new bands. First on my list is Saturday Sun, the first signing to the brand new Lazy Butterfly Records. A duo from the south west peninsular Purbeck, Saturday Sun have created some stunning music for the past two years helped by Alex Hedley’s brilliant and powerful vocals and the melodies put with them by Bill Merrick’s guitar.

Seagull is the first track to be released from their forthcoming EP and frankly it’s a stunning introduction. Within the first minute, Alex’s voice takes hold of you and draws you into this sublime song that drifts through your thoughts like an autumn breeze. The simplicity only adds to this experience. Frankly, after listening to this, I cannot wait for the full EP. If it’s anything like this track, it will be a stunner. These two are definitely a pair to watch.

Their EP “Seagull EP” will be released on March 26th and will be available as a free download. There will also be a six track physical version with only 100 numbered copies released. Listen to the first single “Seagull” here.
