MAY68 // White Lies // Out Now // Black Duck Records

Ever since I stumbled across a copy of Kick by White Rose Movement in a bargain basement somewhere in Soho, like the hipster [insert expletive] I am (I’m even wearing chinos today, although I think the fact they are from Primark makes it OK), I have loved the post-punk electro sound.

This artwork was not inspired by Factory Records

However, I can’t make my mind up about this song by 5-piece Manchester collective MAY68. The first verse reminds me of something that could have been performed by Kraftwerk Orange on The Mighty Boosh, but it always seems to win me over by the end, and I do rather like the lyrics in the chorus; ‘It’s not a dream / so don’t try to wake up’.

OK, so it’s no ‘How does it feel / to treat me like you do’, but it’s a good attempt.

Well anyway, here’s the link to the Soundcloud audio, perhaps you’ll be less wishy-washy than me.
