Anna Calvi // Suzanne and I // New Single // 12.09.11
Following the news of her nomination for this year’s Mercury Music Prize with her with her self titled debut album, Anna Calvi is set to release ‘Suzanne and I’ as her next single on 12 September.
Described my NME as “an all-enveloping, sense-tingling experience. It’s a dazzling display of vocal gymnastics, Calvi sashaying with ease from intimate verses to hurricane-force choruses that could square up to Piaf in the melodrama stakes”, the single will be available on 7” and via digital download.
Anna Calvi will also be performing at this year’s Field Day, Reading and Leeds festivals and will tour the UK and Ireland throughout October and November. Full dates are as follows:
