Artist: Jazz Morley
Track: This Time
Info: “Dorset girl Jazz Morley possesses a voice with such natural soulfulness beyond her 21 years of age that it possibly comes as no surprise to learn that her first public performance was the first year infants nativity play!
Fast forward to the present day and we find a rich, warm, emotive voice capable of the tiniest whisper of love to the full vent of a woman scorned.” Grab her free mp3 download of This Time by registering for free on her new website below.

Artist: Jay Leighton
Track: Night and Day
Info: After recently touring Europe in support of the legendary Lou Rhodes, Jay Leighton returns to British shores this autumn for a series of UK live dates ahead of his first full-length album release in 2011.
Jay’s music career began in 2008 with a major label deal for his band Buffalo ’77. The trio, fronted by Jay, quickly gained momentum and signed to Island Records, but later parted ways with the label and split as a band. Disillusioned with the music industry and all it had to offer, Jay seriously considered quitting music altogether, but soon found himself back in the studio recording new material in the form of a self-penned mini-album, ‘Polaroids and Stills’.
Released in late 2009, the limited edition mini-album was well-received by press, radio and most importantly, by fans and listeners. Its success led to a series of shows and festivals worldwide during the first half of 2010, and soon after this, Jay found himself being invited on a full European tour alongside Lou Rhodes.
Now back in Britain, Jay embarks upon a sporadic set of live dates up and down the UK this autumn, as well as heading back into the studio to record his forthcoming debut album which is set for release in the spring. http://www.myspace.com/jayleighton

Artist: Erland and the Carnival
Track: Trouble in Mind
Info: Simon Tong has strummed a guitar in some pretty heavy-duty combos over the last twenty years – The Verve, Gorillaz, The Good, the Bad & the Queen, and Blur. Those are some of the more important British bands of the era calling on Tong for his services. Needless to say, when he starts a new band, attention must be paid.
Erland and the Carnival is Tong’s new venture in partnership with an Orkney folkie by the name of Erland Cooper. Together, they’ve made a name for themselves performing an updated form of indie-folk, honoring the traditions of folk music but unafraid to put a modern spin on them.
With “Trouble in Mind,” the title track of their second EP, Erland and the Carnival support a gentle but urgent folk melody with tiptoeing electronics and Tong’s precise and genteel riffage. It’s a track not far removed from the work of Neil Halstead or ‘60s baroque poppers like The Left Banke. http://www.myspace.com/carnival
