If you enjoyed the sounds of the 60s then you”ll enjoy this band! Based in Aberdare, South Wales, The Broken Vinyl Club are a sound to be heard!

During every gig The Broken Vinyl Club take their audience into their own little music time machine and whiz them back to the 60s. The familiar sound of the needle hitting that record is what they strive for every night. If you close your eyes during their songs you can almost be back in that era.

If you pop along to see them live, which you should, you’ll be presented with Beatles-esc harmonies, funky basslines, and catchy lyrics, which will stick in your head for days!

The Beatles were the first of their kind, why should they be the last? Obviously no one is ever going to replace The Beatles, as that would be actually impossible, but if you liked their style and that of The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Kinks and all the other sixties bands then why not listen to some of these tunes.

Their 4 piece harmonies include the drummer (how someone sings and does a million things with their hands at the same time i will never know) sound amazing and makes me wonder why harmonies hardly makes an appearance in todays music!
The singer puts passion into every lyric, he also has them on a music stand, just incase he forgets them!!  The men either side of him are effortlessly cool, one plays an epiphone, which just sounds awesome and make his solos stand out! The other just bops away keeping that funky bassline. The dummer, perched at the back, is not to be forgotten…he plays his part in the vocals whilst keeping the songs bouncing along  to the cool 60s beat.

Their set includes my favourites ”Spin Around”as it includes some of their brilliant harmonies, and another song ”I Want You Girl”,which does not appear on their myspace, however is going to be released as a single and will be out later next month. Both of these songs have the exact sound you want in a 60s band.

Their set is awesome and such good fun, you just won’t be able to stand still as you’ll find it so hard not to bounce along to their tunes. They normally play in and around South Wales, however check their myspace and label as they constantly update their gig lists!

Go, listen, dance!!
