MySpace: Tunng

Ahead of Tunng’s exceptional new album, ‘And Then We Saw Land’, London’s twisted pop wonders are set to release opening track ‘Hustle’ as a 7” single on the 22nd February. ‘And Then We Saw Land’ will be released on the 1st March and is now available to pre-order in a range of exclusive bundles.”

To further herald the release of ‘And Then We Saw Land’, Tunng are giving away album track ‘Don’t Look Down Or Back’ HERE!

There’s an album mix of all 11 tracks to watch compiled by frontman Mike Lindsay:

Rhythmically, ‘Hustle’ is one song on the album that was inspired by their experience touring the UK with Malian desert bluesmen Tinariwen – a unique collaboration that aimed to fuse the sounds of the two bands together. “We learned that you don’t always need structure!” says Mike. “As long as there is presence, emotion and groove. It taught us that everything is open and adaptable…”

It’s in that spirit exploration that Tunng have named their new album ‘…And Then We Saw Land’, after a line cribbed from ‘Hustle’. And for a band perceived as being the epitome of English eccentricity, it’s opened up their world – this is Tunng in Widescreen.
