Never Enough Charity Season Continues…
We’re dead busy you know. With a Charity Soundclash and an all-profits-to-charity album already under our belts this year, we’re now embarking on a charity auction, with items kindly donated by artists, agents and record labels alike. Keep your eyes and purses peeled for more information, with all profits going to our chosen charity this year, The Institute of Cancer Research.
Our successful charity album continues to raise money for this fantastic cause. Mid-March, as well as sponsoring One Little Indian’s Official SXSW Showcase, we’re going to be all over Austin at SXSW to promote the album, which comprises of tracks donated by artists all playing at the music conference. You can read more here.
“a consistent selection of not-so-exclusive and tough-to-find tracks…The whole album is great and so is the cause – cancer. It’s a bit of a f*cker, truth be told, and it’s a charity close to this label’s heart”

KIDS LOVE LIES
Pop-punkers KLL are Ellen, Claudia, Leigh, and Matt. Their recent release ‘Count In My Head’ (debut 7″) has received great support from Radio One DJs especially Huw Stevens, Steve Lamacq, Zane Lowe and Nick Grimshaw; also securing them a live session at Maida Vale for Huw Stevens’ show.
They recently played on the BBC Introducing stage at Radio One’s Big Weekend as well as The Great Escape Festival, Sellindge Music Festival and the Camden Crawl. Last year, they received acclaim in the NME Top Ten Tracks April 2009
HOT BEDS
Andy and Lena met through the internet to manufacture anthems dedicated to the frenzied paranoid claustrophobia of living in London. With an anytime/anywhere attitude to touring, Hot Beds have played across the UK and had airplay on various radio stations. “Leave Everything” hit number 1 on the Tourdates Unsigned Chart in August 2009 and remained there for 5 weeks. The follow-up, “Christmas Started in October”, took the top slot on the 20th of December, making it Tourdates’ official Christmas No.1. They are currently promoting new track, “Stop Forgiving”.
ALICIA WOLFE
Re-inventing the power trio for the naughties, this new London outfit bring ballsy performance and real musicianship to an electro scene desperately in need of it’s first super group. Formed by, and named after Australian singer songwriter Alicia Wolfe, the band’s unique sound first took shape with the rhythmic force of exceptional drummer Lee ray. A chance encounter on a hill top in Ibiza secured the talents of bassist Nigel Owen, a man on a mission to bring back the celebrated ‘in your face’ low end grooves of the 80’s. Icing the cake with her space age synths, Alicia’s formidable voice is the finest of cherries on top this delicious sound. The band were recently interviewed on Hits of the Near Future and hit the UK Unsigned Top 10 with their dancefloor stormer, “7 Floors”.
VOLVERE
Volvere play sexy, shake-your-ass, funk punk songs about life’s intoxications that get people moving and listening. The four core members are Mikey (keys, synths, breaks & bleeps), Angie (vocals), David (guitar, bass, lap steel), and Craig (decks, cuts and scratches). Three-parts British, one-part French, they’ve blended into their adoptive home of Kentish Town, North London.
Come and say hi!
