LIARS // NEW ‘SISTERWORLD’ ALBUM DETAILS // TOUR AND SINGLE
Liars are to play a date at Shepherds Bush Empire on 27th May – click here for tickets! They’re £12.50 each.
Liars’ latest album Sisterworld is set for release on 8th March 2010. The American trio’s ridiculously-anticipated fifth album sees Scissor as its first single release on 15th February.
Sisterworld was written and recorded in Los Angeles, and is the first Liars album to be recorded completely in the US since They Were Wrong, So We Drowned (2004). The band says: “We’re interested in the alternate spaces people create in order to maintain identity in a city like LA. Environments where outcasts and loners celebrate a skewered relationship to society.”
The 2CD package will contain ‘other artist interpretations’ on the second CD, of which the tracklisting is as follows:
Scissor – By Pink Dollaz, Lance Whitaker & Transformation Surprise
No Barrier Fun – By Duetonal (Alan Vega / Suicide)
Here Comes All The People – By Atlas Sound (Bradford Cox)
Drip – By Kazu Makino (Blonde Redhead)
Scarecrows On A Killer Slant – By Tunde Adebimpe (TV On The Radio)
I Still Can See An Outside World – By Boyd Rice (NON)
Proud Evolution – Thom Yorke 500qd Remix
Drop Dead – By Fol Chen
The Overachievers – By Devendra Banhart & The Grogs
Goodnight Everything – By Melvins
Too Much, Too Much – By Carter Tutti (Throbbing Gristle)
