Having spent much of the first half of 2013 cloistered away in Ventor, Isle of Wight working on their debut album with producer Paul Butler (Devendra Banhart, The Bees, Michael Kiwanuka), Southampton quartet Pale Seas announced their live return last month with news of a headline show at London's Hoxton Hall. It sold-out in 30 minutes.

Now the quartet have unveiled details of the first fruits of those album sessions in the form of 7 minute 'anti-single' 'Evil Is Always One Step Behind'. An intoxicating opus that slow-builds to a thrilling climax, the track will close Pale Seas forthcoming album - tentatively titled 'Places To Haunt'.

Having spent much of 2012 touring with the likes of The War On Drugs, Stornoway, Beach Fossils, & Stealing Sheep, Pale Seas' decision to decamp to the Isle of Wight in 2013 for a series of writing & recording sessions was a pivotal moment for the young quartet. They return with a debut album that's expansive, bold and yet beautifully melodic.

The sold-out Hoxton Hall show takes place on the 24th July and will see the band perform the entire album in full for the first time alongside specially-created visuals and lighting, designed to introduce & present the record in the perfect environment to their fervent fanbase.
