Harking back to 70s electronica and supported by a hefty grungy guitar riff this second offering from London trio Teleman shows their wide range of musical influences.

With a synth sound and lyrical measure obviously inspired by electro principals like Kraftwerk, Steam Train Girl is quite a step apart from their first, more gentle effort; the ballad Cristina. What keeps this song from becoming stale and just an homage to a style that has long since gone out of fashion, is the strong guitar and bassline that punctuate the song throughout and give it some much-needed power and venom.  With a summer of live gigs and festivals coming up, including Glastonbury and Latitude, this will be a sure-fire crowdpleaser that will get the crowd going. With a quirkiness, and slight surrealist edge that shines through strongly, Steam Train Girl will undeniably get under your skin.
