Having just finished their own headline UK tour, Swim Deep have released their new track ‘The Sea’, a very fitting name given the name of the band. The Birmingham lads have risen in popularity over the past couple of months having supported Two Door Cinema Club on their UK tour earlier this year.

‘The Sea’ is a lot calmer than their previous singles ‘King City’ and ‘Honey’, yet Swim Deep pull it off well by sticking to their usual style of popping in a catchy chorus. Sounding like it’s from the 90s with its mellow instrumental and a lot of “ooh ooh, aah aah’s” as well as Austin’s soft vocals, the track is a certain favourite from their album due out this year.

Their previous singles were tough to beat and although ‘The Sea’ has a much more relaxed vibe, it is definitely another great hit from Swim Deep that is worth buying.
